Make this year's Friendsgiving special with these fun recipes
Friendsgiving is a fantastic way to spend time with your friends and express gratitude for them. So, if you're attending a get-together this November or hosting one, here are some delicious recipe ideas that your friends will love.
Loaded Friendsgiving Nachos
Nachos are a perfect appetizer, loaded with all the Thanksgiving favorites. This recipe is ideal if you're hosting or attending a Friendsgiving after the holiday because you can use leftovers for this recipe!
You'll need a large bag of tortilla chips, shredded turkey, mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded white cheddar cheese, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and Brussels sprouts. Feel free to add any other ingredients that you'd like.
Start by preheating your oven to 425 degrees and place your tortilla chips on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle a good amount of the shredded cheese over the chips and begin to put the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and Brussels sprouts all over the chips.
Once your oven is done preheating, cook the nachos for approximately 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. When the nachos are done cooking, drizzle the cranberry sauce and gravy over them, and they're ready to be served.
Parmesan Roasted Green Beans
Green beans are probably the least popular food on the Thanksgiving table, but this recipe will change that! This cheesy green beans recipe is a delicious way to spice up your regular old green beans.
You'll need one pound of fresh green beans, two tablespoons of olive oil, two cloves of garlic, black pepper, salt, half a cup of shredded parmesan cheese and a quarter cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Make sure to preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Spread your green beans evenly on a large baking sheet, distributing the olive oil, salt and pepper evenly on top of the green beans.
Bake the green beans for approximately 5 minutes, taking them out to toss, then putting them back in the oven for approximately 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Once golden, take them out, add more salt and pepper and add these cheeses. Put the green beans back into the oven for approximately 3 minutes to allow the cheese to melt. For the best results, try to serve this recipe warm.
Pumpkin Pie Martini (or Mocktail)
If you're in charge of bringing a festive drink to Friendsgiving this year, try whipping up these festive pumpkin pie martinis!
You'll need pumpkin puree, ice cubes, graham crackers, pumpkin pie spice, whipped cream and milk of your choice to create this perfect fall drink. If you're making the alcoholic version, you'll also need some whipped cream vodka.
If you'd like to make these drinks extra festive, rim your martini glasses with maple syrup or honey and dip the rim into your crushed graham cracker. Grab your cocktail shaker filled with ice, add two tablespoons of pumpkin puree, a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, half a cup of milk and two shots of vodka, if desired. Then shake the ingredients together!
Once everything is shaken up, pour the drink into martini glasses and garnish with whipped cream, graham crackers and anything else you'd like!
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Turkeys
If you're on dessert duty this Friendsgiving, you must make these quick, easy and adorable chocolate-covered strawberry turkeys.
These cute, sweet treats are super simple to make. All you need is strawberries, mini marshmallows, small pretzel rods and milk or dark chocolate, whichever you prefer!
First, take two pretzel rods and push them into two mini marshmallows. Then, cut one side of each marshmallow, creating a diagonal shape.
Melt your chocolate in the microwave once your "legs" are complete. After it's melted, get your strawberries and dab some chocolate on the cut marshmallow ends to stick to the sides of the strawberry.
Lastly, dip the entire "turkey" into the melted chocolate, let them chill and you're ready to serve your adorable Friendsgiving dessert.
Hopefully, these recipes gave you some great meal ideas to share with your loved ones this year!
