There are a variety of ways for interested students to get involved at the Targum. We offer a variety of opportunities with a wide range of commitment levels. The Targum has great opportunities for growth, building your portfolio, traveling and making great friends.

Correspondents (News, Sports and Inside Beat)
Required to write at least 2 stories per week.
Staff Photographers / Videographers (Photo / Video)
Required to shoot a minimum of 3 assignments per week.
OPINIONS
All submissions should be sent to our opinions editor at oped@dailytargum.com.
Columnist - Do you have strong opinions and want to voice your ideas to the community on a regular basis? Apply for a columnist position for the chance to have your writing published bi-weekly or monthly in the Targum's opinions section.
Commentary - Can't commit to being a regular columnist, but still want to have your voice heard? Write a guest commentary to potentially be published in the Targum's opinions section.
Letters to the Editor - Is there something you read in the Targum that really grinds your gears? Maybe something you liked? Submit a letter to the editor — just keep it under 400 words.
All external submissions must follow the following guidelines to potentially have their article published in the Targum. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will be rejected.

NEWS: The news desk covers news from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, Highland Park, Piscataway and other local communities. Contact the news editors, Alex Kenney and Arishita Gupta, at news@dailytargum.com and university@dailytargum.com for more information.
OPINIONS: The opinions editor writes the daily editorials, which reflect the opinion of the majority of the current editorial board. Chosen columnists are responsible for writing a column to appear in the opinions section once every two weeks. Political cartoonists can submit a cartoon once per week. SOCIAL MEDIA: Social media is the cornerstone of current digital publications. The accumulation of articles, videos, photos and more exists to expand our readership around the world and reach our readers on their favorite websites.
