Worst celebrity costumes of all time

Celebrities have a way of making things about them, and Halloween is no different. But a lot of the times, they clearly miss the mark with Halloween looks. – Photo by ENews / Twitter

Halloween is here, and that means candy and crazy costumes. Each year, celebrities dress up and attend glamorously ghoulish parties. Of these celebs, there's bound to be someone with a costume that's scarier than any ghost or monster.

Without further ado, here are the five worst celebrity Halloween costumes, guaranteed to make you cover your eyes in fear.

Fergie as Miss Universal Royalty

In 2011, Fergie showed up to Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween extravaganza in a strange and quirky version of a Miss Universe pageant outfit. The whole outfit was a disaster from head to toe — I’m not sure what Fergie was going for but she looked like a giant ball of cotton candy, a barbie and a child all rolled into one.

It was distasteful to dress like a child and a bit creepy in all honesty. She sported a short tutu style dress, like those children wear for pageants, huge hair and she held a teddy bear. Honestly, a lot about this costume makes no sense and the longer you look at it, the more confused you get. I just wonder, what were you thinking Fergie?

Julianne Hough as Crazy Eyes from "Orange Is the New Black"

Back in 2013, Hough showed up to a Halloween event dressed as the character Crazy Eyes from the hit show "Orange Is the New Black."

I'm not sure what Hough was thinking, or if she was thinking at all, but sporting blackface was not the smartest move, and super offensive. She wore an orange prison jumpsuit, had her hair done in Bantu knots and finished the look off with a darkened face to resemble the character from the show.

I don’t know where to begin with the "costume" — it's culturally insensitive from start to finish, and not flattering at all. Someone should have told her not to leave her house looking like that because the costume just was not worth it for all the hate she received. It was an uncreative and inappropriate, bad idea Hough!

Katy Perry as a Cheeto

In 2014, Perry dressed up as a Flamin' Hot Cheeto for Halloween complete with a Flamin' Hot Cheeto purse.

So much about this is just horrible. For starters, Perry looks unbelievably uncomfortable. The Cheeto costume is literally a giant Cheeto with a hole for her head. Under the costume, she wore shiny bright red spandex, another big no-no.

This costume was just sad, there are so many ways to make a Cheeto costume cute or sexy, but for sure this wasn't it.

Snooki’s missing kid milk carton costume

Absolutely everything about this costume is terrible and wrong.

First off, the costume is unflattering and ugly. It's a giant milk carton with a hole for Snooki's head. That's the whole costume, which isn't really a costume — it's just on her head and is very unflattering to her face.

I’m not sure what Snooki was thinking, dressing up as a missing child for Halloween, but it wasn't the best idea. Poking fun at missing children, making a mockery out of something so terrible and rubbing it in the faces of parents who have lost children isn't cool. This costume was a terrible idea in every way. Horrible idea Snooki!

Paris Hilton as a sexy Furby

In 2018, Hilton showed up to a Halloween party in a bright iridescent blue mini skirt and a top with eyes.

This was her rendition of a sexy Furby, the robotic toy from the ’90s. I’m not sure where to start with this costume. Making a children’s toy sexy is a bit strange and unsettling, especially when the toy’s eyes are strategically placed on your bra.

Aside from the obvious sexualization of children’s toys, the costume is just ugly. It's bright blue and ridiculously shiny. She also wore huge lace-up boots with wings and pom-poms on them and finished the look with a strange fuzzy headpiece with ears and a unicorn horn — and a huge diamond necklace of course.

This look is just a disaster. Yes, it all matches, but it looks like a child dressed her. I think she missed the mark here for sure.
