The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is investigating multiple incidents of theft that occurred between 11:00 p.m. on Sunday and 3:39 a.m. on Monday, according to a University-wide email alert.

The incidents occurred to vehicles parked on Cook campus in Lots 99 A, B and C on Biel Road as well as Lot 81 on Ryders Lane.

The victims are all affiliated with the University and were not present at the time of the thefts. They reported damage to their vehicles as well as missing items.

The RUPD has not shared a description of the perpetrators. The RUPD asks students to remain aware of their surroundings, keep vehicles and key fobs secure and keep items of value out of plain sight in their vehicles.

The RUPD also asks anyone who may have been nearby or has any information about the incident to contact the RUPD's Detective Bureau.
