The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO) has charged Crystal Jay Ecot with two counts of criminal sexual contact for two incidents that occurred on Monday night near and on the College Avenue campus, according to a University-wide email alert.

Ecot, a 29-year-old male, is unaffiliated with the University and is a Hillsborough resident. The MCPO, Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) and New Brunswick Police Department conducted an investigation and were able to identify, arrest and charge Ecot on Tuesday.

The RUPD asks anyone who may have been in the area during the incidents or who has information about the crimes to contact the RUPD's Detective Bureau.
