Second burglary on Busch campus being investigated by RUPD

A burglary has been reported, having occurred on Busch campus in the School of Engineering Building between 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:14 p.m. on Saturday, according to a University-wide email.

According to the Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD), the perpetrator removed valuable items from a computer lab. The computer lab was secured, but the RUPD did not find any signs of forced entry.

The RUPD has not released identifying information about a suspect. Anyone with information or who may have been near the School of Engineering Building has been asked to contact the RUPD's Detective Bureau.

In the email, the RUPD also reminded members of the Rutgers community to remain vigilant about their surroundings and belongings.

In a previous email, the RUPD reported a separate burglary that occurred between 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and 3:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Computing Research & Education Building, also on Busch campus.

These incidents have not been linked.
