Between Friday night and the early hours of Saturday, a motor vehicle theft was reported to have taken place in the Rutgers Parking Lot 112A on Livingston campus, according to a University-wide statement.

The individual, affiliated with the University, said he parked his car at night and found it stolen the next morning. The Piscataway Township Police Department later retrieved the vehicle with a limited description of the perpetrator, according to the email.

The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is currently looking into the incident and asks those who may have information or were in the area to notify the RUPD's Detective Bureau.

The RUPD also offers its escort system for students, faculty and staff, which is a service to accompany individuals to and from their vehicles or campus residence.
