The Rutgers women’s basketball team has made a splash in its 2024 recruiting class with the addition of five-star guard Kiyomi McMiller out of Burlington, New Jersey. McMiller verbally announced her commitment via social media on Saturday.

She joins four-star forward Zachara Perkins in the Scarlet Knights' 2024 recruiting class.

In the 2024 HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings, McMiller is rated as the 22nd-best recruit in the nation, and the 5-foot-9 guard’s high school numbers validate that placement.

In her junior season playing for the varsity team at the Life Center Academy, McMiller averaged 29.2 points per game (PPG) in 25 games played. She also stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 5.8 rebounds per game (RPG), 4.5 assists per game (APG) and 3.3 steals per game (SPG).

This season, McMiller has played in 11 games and is averaging 29.5 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 4 APG, 2.9 SPG, as well as a block per game.

Head coach Coquese Washington now has eight players lined up to play for Rutgers in the 2024-2025 season. With the Knights currently on a six-game losing streak, they get some good news regarding next season.
