Women’s Choice Award honors Saint Peter’s University Hospital as top hospital
The Women's Choice Award recently recognized Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick as one of the best hospitals in the U.S. for its women's health care service, according to a press release.
The Women's Choice Award is an organization that identifies hospitals, companies and healthcare providers that provide excellent service to their women clientele, according to their website.
The award ranked Saint Peter's University Hospital as one of the top 100 hospitals in the country for patient experience based on a survey of approximately 5,000 hospitals nationwide.
The hospital also received eight other honors regarding ranking in the top 10 percent in areas including patient safety, stroke care, cancer care and women's services, according to their website.
Saint Peter's University Hospital is certified by The Joint Commission as an advanced primary stroke center. It is also the first hospital in New Jersey to receive the commission's Level IV Maternal Care Verification, the highest level of care for new mothers and infants, according to the release.
"To be recognized in one designated area by the Women's Choice Award, given its high standards, is truly an honor. So receiving recognition in nine clinical specialties speaks volumes about Saint Peter's longstanding dedication to women's health," said Leslie Hirsch, the president and CEO of Saint Peter's Healthcare System.
