This Sunday, the League of Women Voters and the NAACP will hold a virtual forum for candidates for the upcoming New Brunswick mayoral election, according to Patch.

Members of the organizations and city residents will submit questions to Independent candidate Charlie Kratovil and Republican candidate Maria Powell.

Apart from being a candidate, Kratovil operates the local news site New Brunswick Today while Powell is a small business owner, according to the article.

Longtime incumbent mayor James Cahill will not be attending the event but will instead provide a written statement, according to MyCentralJersey.

Cahill has served as mayor of New Brunswick since 1991 and has not attended a mayoral debate in years, according to Patch.

The forum will be accessible starting from Monday until Election Day on November 8.
