Over this past week, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine has been in hot water. Via TikTok, Instagram model Sumner Stroh revealed that she had a year-long affair with the Grammy award-winning singer.

Levine has been married to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo since 2014, and they share two children together with another one on the way. A few days prior to this scandal, Prinsloo lovingly posted a baby bump picture on social media to announce her pregnancy with Levine's child.

Through Stroh’s TikTok video, she gave a detailed series of events with multiple screenshots proving Levine’s infidelity. She first started off the video by stating “essentially, I was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model.”

Stroh also went on to say that she felt that she was manipulated due to how young she was and that she was new to the Los Angeles scene.

She then showed lengthy messages between the two that exposed Levine for continuously flirting with her and talking about meeting each other in person, messaging, “You are 50 times hotter in person."

After posting, the video amassed millions of views with many people weighing in on the controversy. TikTok was taken over with everyone from celebrity tea accounts to random girls comparing their own personal experiences to this one.

Stroh claimed that she was enviably forced to expose her relationship with Levine as some of the people that she told the information were going to reveal it to the media. Stroh wanted to take control of the situation and told the world herself.

Many have questioned her intention of the video, and some even are wondering if this blackmail-esque scenario has taken place. It's obvious that Stroh is hungry for fame — immediately after releasing the video, she began to promote her new OnlyFans page.

Additionally, many people on the internet believe that Stroh could have handled the situation better than she did. Many suggested Stroh should have personally messaged Prinsloo before the reveal and/or simply only told her, which would've been a kinder and more considerate way for the information to be told. Instead, Prinsloo found out via social media along with everyone else.

Soon, all the hate and criticism began to fall solely on the shoulders of Stroh, with rarely any videos on how Levine was in the wrong. This is a common thread that we see with the mistresses getting the majority of the hate, and the cheating man getting almost no hate whatsoever.

Aside from the actual cheating, in the revealed messages, Stroh showed Levine disgustingly asking her if he could name his new baby after her — disregarding how that would make his wife feel, or how it would affect their newborn child.

Despite Levine’s actions and betrayal in his marriage, Stroh is the main target of internet hate. Many are saying that she is not remorseful at all, and some accuse her of lying completely.

After a few days of speculation from the public, Levine finally came out with a statement with his side of the story:

“I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate."

He further added, “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.”

Prinsloo has stayed silent about the whole situation, but many are concerned for her and her baby’s well-being. Regardless of who is to blame, the privacy of Levine’s wife and children is important as they are completely innocent in this situation.
