Rutgers women's basketball game against Nebraska postponed
As first reported in a tweet sent out by the program, the Rutgers women’s basketball team’s game scheduled for Thursday night has been postponed due to health and safety protocols in the Nebraska program. The Scarlet Knights (7-12, 0-7) were looking to get into the win column for the first time in 2022.
This is the second game that Rutgers has had postponed this season, as a Dec. 30 matchup with Indiana was also not played due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) concerns. The Cornhuskers (13-4, 2-4) face their first postponement of the season and were looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
The Knights' next scheduled matchup is on Sunday, when they will host Ohio State at Jersey Mike’s Arena on Livingston Campus. That game will take place at 1 p.m. and will be broadcasted on ESPN2 and 88.7 WRSU-FM.
