Rutgers updates results from coronavirus testing program
Rutgers released its Weekly University Health Update yesterday with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing results from Oct. 25 to Oct. 31.
The University conducted 4,139 tests and had 26 positive results and 4,105 negative results, according to the email. Eight of the tests came back inconclusive, according to the University’s Testing Program Dashboard.
Students accounted for 21 of the positive test results, while employees made up the remaining five, according to the dashboard.
Rutgers—New Brunswick had 10 cases, Rutgers—Newark had seven cases, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS)—Newark had four cases, RBHS—New Brunswick/Piscataway had three cases and Rutgers—Camden had two cases, according to the dashboard.
Since the start of the University’s testing program in May, 50,903 total tests have been conducted, with 419 positive results and 50,334 negative results, according to the dashboard.
Of the total number of tests, .82 percent came back positive, while 98.88 percent were negative.
