Rutgers updates weekly coronavirus testing data
Rutgers released its Weekly University Health Update yesterday with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing results from Oct. 4 to Oct. 10.
Out of 3,590 tests performed, 51 were positive and 3,525 were negative, according to the email. Fourteen tests came back inconclusive, according to the University’s Testing Program Dashboard.
Students accounted for 46 of the positive results, with employees making up the other five cases, according to the dashboard. No affiliates tested positive within that week.
At Rutgers—New Brunswick, 30 people tested positive. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS)—New Brunswick/Piscataway had 16 positive cases, Rutgers—Newark and RBHS—Newark had two cases each and Rutgers—Camden had one case, according to the dashboard.
Since the start of the University’s testing program in May, 38,536 COVID-19 tests were performed, with 346 positive results, 38,068 negative results and 122 inconclusive results, according to the dashboard.
Out of all tests performed since May, 0.9 percent came back positive and 98.79 percent came back negative, according to the dashboard.
