Rutgers releases weekly coronavirus testing results
Rutgers released its Weekly University Health Update yesterday with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) testing results from Oct. 18 to Oct. 24.
The University conducted 4,170 tests, with 32 positive results and 4,133 negative results, according to the email. Five results were inconclusive, according to the University’s Testing Program Dashboard.
Students accounted for 27 of the positive results, while five were from employees, according to the dashboard.
Rutgers—New Brunswick had 18 positive cases, Rutgers—Newark had five cases, Rutgers—Camden had four cases, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS)—New Brunswick / Piscataway had three cases and RBHS—Newark had two cases, according to the dashboard.
Since the start of the University’s testing program in May, 46,735 COVID-19 tests were conducted, with 396 positive results and 46,201 negative results, according to the dashboard.
Of all tests conducted, 0.85 percent were positive and 98.85 percent were negative.
