A Rutgers University—New Brunswick student died last week, according to a University-wide email.

Kaitlin Perran Güner, a School of Arts and Sciences senior, died on Thursday, Oct. 17. Born in New York, Güner often spent time overseas with family in a number of countries, including Turkey, Japan, England, Spain and the United Arab Emirates before moving to New Jersey to study at Rutgers. She studied sociology and psychology, according to the email.

She was survived by her son, William Serdar Güner, her parents, Linda and Serdar Güner and siblings, Liam and Chelsie Güner, according to Obitio Online Obituaries.

Memorial services for Kaitlin Perran Güner will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the New Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick, New Jersey. Contributions can be made to The Epilepsy Foundation, according to the email.
