Yesterday, Chancellor Debasish Dutta emailed members of the community regarding the death of Jungsoo Park, a School of Arts and Sciences senior.

Jungsoo died on Wednesday, according to the email. During his time at Rutgers, he was involved with the Undergraduate Student Alliance of Computer Scientists and was an employee at the Office of Information Technology.

“On behalf of the entire Rutgers—New Brunswick community, I extend our condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him. Please also keep Jungsoo’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers,” Dutta said.

In his final remarks, Dutta referenced University Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS)  and “Let’s Talk” — a free and confidential consultation service offering daily sessions across a number of campus locations — for any student seeking grief or general support.
