Rutgers soccer players get surprise note at diner
A small group of Rutgers soccer players witnessed the generosity of strangers during a trip to an NJ diner earlier this week.
On Sunday, five Rutgers teammates went to a local diner and when it came time to pay the check, they were given a note from a couple who had paid for their meals.
The note reads:
"It was nice to see a bunch of college sports girls having fun! We lost our sports daughter. Pay it forward. Tell them Shannon sent you!"
The students do not know paid for their meals, but the note says the couple had "lost a sports daughter."
"Really sweet & touching...remember to do something nice for others! It really touched me," wrote Kelli McCorkle Wright, mother of sophomore women's soccer player Kenie Wright, in a post.
