The Rutgers men’s basketball team will return to Jersey Mike’s Arena on Livingston campus to play Iowa in a Wednesday night match. The Scarlet Knights (10-6, 4-2) are coming off of their first road victory of the season against Maryland.

Despite the less than favorable start, Saturday’s game was a win for Rutgers, who trailed 38-27 at the half.

Senior guard Ron Harper Jr. collected a career-high of 31 points leading the Knights to a 70-59 victory over the Terrapins (9-8, 1-5). Junior guard Paul Mulcahy also had a standout game with 15 points and six rebounds.

“I don’t know if he could play any better — he was involved in everything,” said head coach Steve Pikiell of Mulcahy’s performance.

Rutgers is looking to keep up this momentum going into Wednesday’s home appearance against the Hawkeyes (13-4, 3-3).

Iowa, like the Knights, is coming off of a substantial road win against Minnesota. The team has won 6 of their last 7 games. Rutgers will be getting its first look of the season at the Murray twins, Keegan Murray and Kris Murray.

The brothers have become two of Hawkeyes’ strongest players in their last few outings. Keegan Murray is Iowa's scoring leader, averaging 23.9 points per game as well as an average of 8.1 rebounds per game.

Even with the Hawkeyes’ impressive record and stats, the Knights are ready for the challenge.

“I’m real confident that this group can come back from anything,” Harper said.

Wednesday night’s matchup is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted on Big Ten Network.
